Why Your Small Business Isn’t Growing (Solution: These 2 Areas)

A lot of small businesses are designed more like a prison than a profit center.

Day-by-day, they scrape by, making the bare minimum. Well, over a decade ago, I was one of them. I was providing a product and service that was indistinguishable from my competitors.

All small businesses must focus on two things to grow their profits:

1) Get more customers.

You might be thinking, “duh, not shit Nate,” but hear me out.

I’ve witnessed thousands of small businesses flounder because their sales strategy (yes, that includes marketing) is weak. Here’s why:

a) Their sales strategy is atrocious:

  • Terrible sales messaging.
  • Wasteful outbound calls and emails.
  • Lacking sales skills and development.
  • Horrendous service.

b) Their marketing offers no value:

  • They offer nothing more enticing than their competitors. There’s no big offer that exchanges greater value to their customers over the price they’re paying.
  • Their marketing campaigns look like everyone else’s.
