Why Discipline Equals Freedom

The most successful people are masters of discipline.

It doesn’t matter if it’s a great business leader, the world’s best bowhunter, or the most epic podcaster of our generation; they’ve mastered discipline.

They’re focused on a mission, and when excuses plague their minds, they quickly silence the noise and push through the mental pain.

Discipline is about executing the priorities you don’t want to do but know will help you for the rest of your life.

That’s it.

Discipline is about putting in the work every day to improve. I used to hate writing, but I knew it was an important skill and asset to my life and company, so I practice it for hours every day (I’m still learning).

In my twenties, I hated running because I labeled it as “boring, and I’m a muscular guy, so distance isn’t my thing.” What an f’ing excuse.

I now know that if I can run for miles and hours at a time, I have control over my mind and body. So I put in the work every day, especially on the days I don’t want to.

Discipline takes being relentless.
