The One Vital Thing Your Team Needs From You When They Want To Grow
Most managers invest their time in the wrong people.
I used to be one of them. I’d see someone on my team constantly underperforming and invest more time and energy to help get them to average results.
But that’s a failure.
You can’t want someone to succeed more than they do. And the people who want to grow, your grow players, don’t get your best energy because it’s spoiled on the wrong team members or priorities.
Grow players are people on your team who want to learn, grow and develop.
Here are a couple of ways to help your grow players grow:
Give them your time.
You have to invest time into your team.
If you’re a leader, nothing is more important than this as you grow the company with and through other people. If you’re not investing in your people, then it’s like hoarding cash for three decades as your financial investment strategy; there’s no positive return.
