You’re a mist of debris circling an endless sea of infinity.

We live in a world inhabited by dinosaurs over several hundred million years ago. Let that marinate in your mind! Divide 200,000,000 by your age. That’s how many lifetimes ago that was.

Since then, multiple extinction events have occurred.

Life is a matter of time. Time is the one finite thing we don’t get back.

I die. You die. We all die.

We chase our lives with an endless pursuit of the next goal, the next materialistic achievement to mark on our imaginary success board.

These endeavors are often fun and exciting but pull us away from who we are in our purest form.

Our mind has imprisoned us in a persistent chatter that never ends. Eckhart Tolle wrote that if the world could hear our thoughts, we would get admitted into a psychiatric ward.

Why is it with endless money and the pinnacle of success does substance abuse and sadness radiate people’s lives?

We chase one materialistic success after the next. When we “achieve,” arriving at the greener pasture gate, we start to seek the next greener pasture.
