Life Is A Series Of Persistent Challenges. Here’s 3 Simple Steps To Solving Most Problems
Someone on my managerial team came to me and said we had a problem, so I told him to go away.
I told him to go away until he could reframe how he presented the problem. Then, I explained that there’s a problem every-single-day in our complex business, and we can’t look at problems as a bad thing every time they occur.
But that’s also life. Life is a series of challenges which is a blessing.
Problems are an opportunity to learn, grow relationships, and earn trust.
First, reframe the way you think about problems.
Most problems aren’t problems at all.
They’re challenges. They’re never as big as we make them out to be. We love to make a minor challenge into a problem that “ruined my day.”
Don’t give challenges so much value — learn to accept and solve them — no big deal.
You also can’t just bury the challenge and surrender the resolution to someone else.
Challenges need fixing.
Someone on my team was helping me resolve an issue for a client. A $12,900 aircraft avionics came in damaged due to negligent packing standards from a vendor.
