How To Get Prospects To Reply To Your Sales Email

Write your emails as if you’re talking with a toddler.

Keep them simple, concise, and to the point. Your prospects won’t read a long paragraph of you babbling about how great your unknown product is. They don’t want you wasting their time. All your emails, especially the initial ones, should be under five lines, but three is even better.

Here’s how you must craft your sales outreach emails:

Research is key.

Research doesn’t mean you have to hire a private investigator.

Find some information that shows the prospect you did your research.

Pull in some information you found on the web that relates to your product or service. Don’t say the same thing, the same way to everyone. Craft your email based on the recipient.

Sure it might take longer, but total emails sent isn’t the goal — setting a meeting is.

Craft a catchy headline.

Your headline should be unique, meaningful, and compelling.

Getting cute can work, but when in doubt, be clear and concise.

Something as simple as “quick question about x” works well.
