Growth Comes From Systems In A World Focused On Goals

Setting future goals is discounting how you live your life today.

We want to buy a bigger home, make more money, convert more customers, or in my case, own a group of companies.

Your goals, no matter how “SMART” they are, are future projections.

They’re not real.

They’re guesses into something you don’t have but want.

The only way to achieve anything in the future is in the present. Your daily actions are what produce future results.

It’s the consistent, persistent daily practices you do every single day that will help you reach the goals you set for yourself.

Do you want to make more money? Make one-hundred prospecting calls a day.

Do you want to own 5+ businesses generating over $100,00,000? Call or send five letters to potential acquisition targets a day.

Do you want to publish a book? Write 500 words a day.

Do you need to lose ten pounds? Start with a daily 45-minute walk.

Do you want to improve your negotiation skills? Practice low-risk, real-world scenarios three times a day.

The practices, or as Scott Adams calls it, systems are far more important than goals.
