Build A Thriving Business (Or Career), Not A Prison. Every Sunday morning, you’ll get 1 actionable tip to dramatically improve your performance, profit, and potential without sacrificing what’s most important — TIME.

The longer you stay in your comfort zone, the more difficult it becomes to leave, like quicksand for the mind.

Comfort is the enemy of progress. And yet, as you look around, many people are trapped in Ease’s cage. As we experience fewer problems, we lower our threshold for what we consider a problem or comfort, leading to a phenomenon called “prevalence-induced concept change.” This also occurs when new comforts are introduced — we adapt to them, and our old comforts become unacceptable — this is called “comfort creep.”

Unfortunately, many people don’t know how to recognize comfort creep, so they become too comfortable, and their productivity and growth suffer.

Here’s how to know the creep trapped you:

Primary reason: Fear of discomfort.

Reason #1: Lack of motivation.

Reason #2: Resistance to change.

Reason #3: Complacency.

Reason #4: Unwillingness to take risks.
