5 Skills You Must Master To Become a Transcendent Leader
Leadership isn’t about wanting to become a leader.
Nobody should want to become a leader. Leadership is bestowed on someone who has a positive impact on other people.
As Sadhguru explains, “People will rise you as a leader because they see something or you can do something others cannot.”
That’s a transcendent leader, someone whose desire that leads outward.
These are the five skills that embody transcendent leadership, as told by Luke Burgis in his book Wanting:
Transcendent Leadership Skill 1: Shift Gravity
“A good leader never becomes an obstacle or a rival,” writes Luke.
They shift the center of gravity away from themselves and towards a bigger goal. They stand shoulder to shoulder with other people at all levels.
Transcendent Leadership Skill 2: Speed of Truth
The health of any project involving humans is dependent on the speed at which truth travels.
Truth is anti-mimetic:
Truth doesn’t change based on how mimetically popular or unpopular something is.
