Most businesses have enormous room for improvement.
But several things are blocking them from their full potential.
First, the improvements are beyond the owner’s capability. They don’t have the knowledge, skill, or energy to fix the problems.
Second, the owner and team are blind to the areas that need improvement. They don’t “see” the issues.
Third, the company has conflicting priorities. Nothing gets the attention it deserves.
There are three broad areas to improve a business; money, sales, and operations.
Without MONEY, the company has no fuel. These are the signs a business can improve its money:
- High revenue, poor profits. The business has opportunities to cut costs.
- Poor cashflow management.
- Low pricing.
- An owner with little financial literacy.
If a company can’t find, keep and grow customers, there’s an endless pit of doing something for nothing. SALES is what pays for everything. These are the signs a business can improve its sales:
